If you think they are safe, what about the children/people they are in contact with? Did you know Facebook has an age restriction?
You should not go on unless you are 13 years or older. The only site we recommend for social media for children is Club Penguin.

ONLINE SAFETY ADVICE REGARDING INAPPROPRIATE VIDEOS INCLUDING MOMO
You may have seen in the press that highly inappropriate videos are circulating online and are being viewed by children. Some of these videos contain violence and offensive language, while others, including one called 'MoMo' or the 'MOMO challenge' showing a warped face, tell children to self-harm or do dangerous tasks without telling their parents.
A lot of this is media hype. The MOMO challenge began as an urban myth and a steady stream of 'fake news' coverage on social media has created this latest frenzy.
While we always encourage you to be vigilant when your child is using any device or watching any clips, the constant influx of new apps and games can make it hard for you to keep track of everything your children see.
This is why it is important for you to talk openly and regularly with your children about these apps and games and the potential risks to which they can be exposed. The same applies with social networks and anything online that makes them feel uncomfortable.
The NSPCC offers some excellent guidance on how to talk about these and other issues - click on the link below:
