At Two Gates we are committed to providing every pupil with the best possible educational experience within a safe, nurturing environment. Our school motto is 'Love Children, Love Learning'  and this is at the heart of all we do to ensure our pupils become confident and successful lifelong learners.

Our web site is designed for parents and visitors to be able to access all the necessary information about the life and work of our school. We hope you find it useful. Should you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

We believe that working in partnership with parents and families is essential in securing a complete educational experience and best outcomes for pupils.

We encourage and value parental involvement in their children’s schooling and aim to keep parents fully informed about the life and work of the school and specific information about their children.

We communicate in various ways:

Termly curriculum guides- these map out the learning and topics your child will be covering in school

Parent workshops- these are designed to inform and help you understand more about specific teaching and learning and how you can help your children at home.

Parent Guides- see the letters page of the web-site

Termly parent consultation evenings- you will be invited to meet with your child’s class teacher to discuss their learning and progress.

End of year reports- a comprehensive account of their school year

Texts- these are generally for reminders or to give notice  of  any changes

Letters – notification and information sharing

Weekly Newsletter- posted every Friday on the web- site. Paper copies can be obtained from the school office if you prefer

Telephone calls

Information can also be found on the school web-site.

We have an open door policy- if you want to speak to a member of staff, please call us or pop in to make an appointment.

From time to time issues arise at home which may affect a child’s education and well-being. We ask that you make us aware of any such issues so that we can support your child sensitively at school. Confidentiality is assured in all cases.

If we can support you in any way you can make an appointment to speak with the Headteacher or Mrs H Pugh our Family Early Help Assistant.

We also have an extensive Family Learning Programme which includes different types of courses for parents and grandparents- from cooking to forest school and behaviour management to maths games and more… Please see the Family Learning page of the web-site for more information.
